Shareholder for Dubai Media City Free Zone (DMC) Company can be Individuals or Corporate entity,
Director:
Individuals only (Minimum one. Shareholder can also be Director)
Share capital:
AED 50,000/- (50 shares of AED 1,000/- each) for FZ – LLC DMC Company Setup and AED Nil/- in case of Branch office. (Required to be deposited in bank before or after company incorporation)
Do note that shares are deemed to be issued on company incorporation irrespective of whether share capital is deposited in bank pre or post incorporation.
Audit:
Audit report is not required to be filed with DMC.
Estimated time for Business Setup In Dubai:
3 to 4 weeks to obtain license of the company and register a company in DMC (Dubai Media City Free Zone)
Another 7-10 working days for immigration card subject to security clearance & thereafter visa may take approximately 7-10 working days on normal basis.
Process for Dubai Media City Company Formation:
- Identify the legal form of the company to be registered in DMC
- Select an activity from the DMC activity list
- Apply for name and initial approval
- Payment of fees related to DMC business setup
- Sign DMC company registration and incorporation documents
- Apply for a DMC residence visa.

The documents required for business set up in DMC (Dubai Media City Free Zone) depends on whether a shareholder is individual or corporate entity. Basic requirements are
- Color passport copy of shareholder/director/manager
- Color UAE residence visa & emirates id copy of shareholder/director/manager
- Utility bill copy of shareholder/director/manager
- CV/Resume of shareholder/director/manager
- Business Plan
- NOC from the current sponsor for shareholder/director/manager

Other Notes for DMC – Dubai Media City Company Formation:
- Document to be legalized with UAE Embassy in case of corporate shareholder.
- Company Immigration/Establishment card to be renewed every year
- Investors of Dubai Media City business setup need to have family status UAE visa should have a share capital of AED 75,000/- and to be eligible for an Owner/Investor/Partner visa should have a share capital of AED 60,000/-
